A packed house for the premiere of Stories and Faces
What a day! We had a phenomenal turn out for the premiere of Stories and Faces at Kirkton Hall. More than 50 people from age 5 to 95 arrived to see the culmination of this wonderful project led by artist Sarah Longley. We have been working together since the end of last year to turn all the artwork created by the children and the interviews they had recorded into a film and the result was just over an hour long and featured 22 cameos.
It was a wonderful testament to the local community that the wee hall was packed to the gunnels and the film received some great comments. You can see the film on Youtube here.
A big thankyou to Atlas Arts for lending us the projection equipment which made a real difference to the day.
